• Tactile Edge – 2022

  • • The tactile edge aims to delineate space between sidewalk level bike lanes and the sidewalk. They are particularly useful for people who are low-vision or blind and use a cane to navigate the city. Public Works evaluated this treatment on two downtown streets. The goal of this evaluation is to understand if the tactile edge is working as intended by delineating space and how it is holding up to winter conditions.
