2nd St. N. sanitary sewer improvements
The City will remove and replace 3,000 ft of brick pipes with clay pipes. This will eliminate existing cracks, holes, and fractures.
Project overview
We've determined the following sanitary sewer needs rehabilitation:
2nd St N from Broadway Ave. N. to 10th Ave. N.
Year installed: 1891
What we'll do
The project will remove and replace about 3,000 feet of existing brick pipe with clay pipe. We'll also replace manholes in the area as part of this project.
Background
We assess sewer system conditions on a regular basis to:
- Find infrastructure rehabilitation (rehab) needs
- Check over the aging sewer system
- Maintain and improve the system
- Keep the system reliable
Using the condition and risk data, we focus on the sewers with the most rehab needs.
