Project overview

We will be making improvements to the Bloomington Ave. bridge over Minnehaha Creek.

We plan to replace:

• Bridge deck
• Beams
• Approach panels

We may mill and overlay additional pavement on both ends of the bridge.

Traffic impacts

There will be some closures. 

• The bridge will be closed to traffic during construction activities.
• Minnehaha Creek will be closed at times to canoes, kayaks, tubing, etc., as required for safety reasons during construction activities. A portage will be provided when the creek is in season.
• The trail along Minnehaha Pkwy. on the north side of the bridge will remain open.
