Folwell East and Northwest Residential resurfacing
The City will remove and add a new layer of asphalt on the streets in the Folwell East and Northwest areas.
Project overview
In 2023, City staff will resurface the streets in this area. We replace the top layer of asphalt pavement to extend the life of a street. The new pavement should last at least 10 years.
ADA pedestrian ramp upgrades
We will also be upgrading all existing street corners to follow the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This work will be completed before the resurfacing process.
Schedule
- Project staff held a public meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center.
- Street corners have been upgraded to follow the ADA.
- Select curb and gutter replacement work to begin the week of June 19, 2023.
- Mill and overlay work to begin August 22, 2023.
- Mill and overlay work will be completed the week of October 23, 2023
Traffic impacts
Blocks will be intermittently closed to traffic during asphalt milling and paving for brief periods of time.
