South Burroughs area resurfacing
The City removed and added a new layer of asphalt in the South Burroughs area of south Minneapolis.
Project overview
In this ongoing street maintenance program, we replace the top layer of asphalt pavement to extend the life of a street between larger reconstructions. The new pavement should last about 10 years.
Project staff held a virtual neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
Traffic impacts
Streets will be closed for periods to through traffic as needed during construction.
Closures
We began resurfacing the South Burroughs area the week of September 7, 2021.
We completed milling the week of September 13, 2021.
We began paving the week of September 13, 2021. We will close select blocks to traffic as needed for short periods of time while paving.
Project phase
This project is complete. We began work the week of July 5 and completed it on October 14, 2021.
