Uber and Lyft have said they will stop service in Minneapolis on May 1, 2024. No other transportation network companies have applied for a license to operate in Minneapolis at this time. 

The Minneapolis City Council passed an ordinance requiring higher pay for drivers. The ordinance is set to take effect May 1, 2024. Mayor Frey vetoed the ordinance on March 8, and the City Council overrode the veto on March 14. For questions or comments on the ordinance, contact your council member.
