The Minneapolis Law Enforcement Explorers gives young adults the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement. It is a non-profit program.
There is no initial cost to join. There are costs associated with competitions and uniforms.

We are committed to having diverse candidates and welcome residents from all cultures to join. Our members have gone on to be a part of the Minneapolis Police Department as community service officers, recruits, officers, sergeants, and lieutenants.

The selection process takes about two to four weeks.
If you pass the above steps, you will be an Explorer with our post.
